Summer Festival Top
Typically, I never like to make anything more than once. I have so many patterns saved and bought, waiting to be made, that to repeat anything seems like a waste of time. Then there’s boredom. I get bored easily. Once I learn something or make something, I’m ready to move on to the next.
This top was a little different. It was so quick and easy to make that I didn’t have time to get bored. I had so much fun, I’ve made three of them so far and I think I’ll make more!
I made each one a little differently to see how they would work up and also to use yarn I already had. The first one in blue and gold is made from Hobby Lobby’s Love this Yarn collection, a number 4 acrylic. Very soft and silky. And kinda warm. While the colors are beautiful, I wouldn’t use an acrylic yard again in the future.
The white one and the green and brown one were made with a number 4 cotton. I, honestly, don’t recall which brand but any 100% cotton #4 will work. It’s because it’s made with number 4 instead of a finer thread it works up quickly. Color combinations are endless. I think I may put fringes on the next one!
This is not a free pattern but it’s not expensive either. You can find it HERE. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine! Happy Crocheting!
